Trends, Unique Circumstances and Seasonal Opportunities: Part 1 of 3

June2013

As we head into the first week of what I believe is going to be a “Fantastic 5 Saturday June,” I want to touch on the importance of staying in touch with your market by addressing three points:  Trends, Seasonal Opportunities and Unique Circumstances. All are capable of elevating your dealership with added sales and service including presence in the community.

Trends refer to used vehicles and available research. The other day I saw an article on the “Top 25 Used Vehicles Researched in the Month of May.”  Now, look at your own website and at your used car specials. It makes sense that if you have any of the below vehicles in your current inventory to put them on your “Specials Page.” If people are looking nationwide for these, you might hit one. If these are the hot used searches for your market, then you can count on clicks that convert to traffic.

The complete list1 of the most-researched used vehicles for May is as follows, with number of visits in parenthesis:

1. Honda Civic (51,791)
2. Honda Accord (47,669)
3. Toyota Camry (46,290)
