My motto for the coming year is that it is going to be a “Fabulous ’14.” I am a person who thrives on a positive attitude and positive frame of mind. With no interruptions that would derail the automotive industry on the horizon, this is going to be a year where a lot of “pent up demand” re-enters the market. It will be a year when service business rebounds from the “lull” or “trough” that was created from low sales numbers in 2009-2011. It will be a year where one of the biggest problems dealerships will have is finding enough warm bodies to greet customers in the showroom and online. It will be a year of many great things but with all that said – this will be a year where your dealership sees more traffic than it did the year before. All economic indicators and historical trends point in that direction. It’s a big hill to climb – better lace your shoes up tight and get ready.
