While watching TV the other night, I came across a story about the highest viewed video on the history of the Internet. “Gangnam Style” has over 800 million views and is skyrocketing towards 1 billion views.
Take a moment to watch the video in the event that you haven’t seen this before and do not know what I am talking about.
If you watch this and wonder “What the hell did I just watch?” — it is a testament to how “weird is the new cool.” And if you think you have seen strange stuff on television, just get ready because you may not be prepared for what is coming in the future.
My prediction is TV and Internet video content is going to be unrecognizable to what we see now, in less than 5 years.
Get ready for the weird to turn into the norm.
