The recent immigration situation in Texas has caused me to wonder when and how it will affect the vehicle industry. With a natural influx in the population, it’s just a matter of time before we realize an increase in automotive sales.
A majority of it will go to private sellers but franchise dealers will surely see an increase in sales, especially dealerships with Hispanic sales staff in place.
Immigrants will often enter the country with little possessions let alone personal transportation. There are not any hard stats on this subject yet or how it has affected sales, but it’s a sheer numbers gain that people who come to America from Mexico are going to eventually need some form of transportation.
