According to the most recent ALG data, leasing penetration rose to almost 20% in the 3rd quarter of 2010. Main factors that contributed to this is the fact that domestic manufacturers have re-entered the leasing business in their post-bankruptcy era, meanwhile Honda and Toyota have sharpened their focus on leasing as well in 2010.
The luxury brands who survive off high lease penetration only saw about a 5% increase according to ALG raising their number to approximately 40%, but the real growth has come from outside the luxury brands.
