Maybe it’s because I have spent the last three days in and around New York City during the riots over Eric Garner, but I believe that if the riots continue it will affect car sales in the first 10 days of December and maybe even further into the month.
Consumer confidence is very high, the stock market is up, and there has been great news for illegal immigrants in the last 30 days as it pertains to their futures in America, but if these riots continue it will put a damper to the end of an otherwise stellar year.
This is just my own analysis as I read overnight sales reports from our dealers and dealer groups. Things are very slow especially in the larger markets where these riots are becoming an issue.
