Spikes & Dips: Introduction

The highest highs and the lowest lows have been experienced by everyone in this industry at some point in time. It can be an absolute roller coaster of a ride.

With this image in mind, I did a quick Google search for the top roller coaster names.  “Nightmare at Crack Axle Canyon,” “Ricochet,” and “Psyclone” jumped off the page, but none really captured the essence of the phenomenon in the automotive business.  The ups and downs we face are best described as “Spikes and Dips.”

This series of blogs will focus on three distinct areas where spikes and dips are most apparent:  monthly open/close, core product sales and Internet traffic.
